Since Thanksgiving is coming up I decided to post some things about being thankful for the things that we have. My seminary teacher inspired me to put this out there. Hopefully you guys are thinking about being grateful for what you have rather than all the things that you don't have. Too many times in this world we think and dewell on the things that we don't have. It's really sad to me that so many times you hear people saying that they wish they had this or that, rather than looking at the stuff that they have now and listing the things that they do have and are grateful for. If you just look at our world right now, it's sad to think that more and more every year people are getting more excited about getting and wanting more rather than giving and being thankful for what you've already got! It's crazy to me that people are skipping Thanksgiving dinner just so that they can get that new iPhone or that flat screen TV. Please stop. Look around you, and see what you're missing out on. That new iPhone won't last you 20 yrs. But the memorizes that you create by being around the ones you love will. Thanks for tuning in and have a lovely Thanksgiving this year! <3, Julienne
I don't really talk about sad things much or but if I do I usually don't feel inspired to write about it on my blog.
This is a serious matter. I've never been to Paris or understand their language very well but I have had the loss of a loved one. I can't say that I've known anyone that has been murdered before. The only thing that I can relate to the people of Paris is that I've had to delt with hard trials too. But nothing like this. To say that I know how they are feeling would be a lie. I really don't know how they feel or what they're feeling. All that I can say is that I am trying my hardest to understand how you feel and to try and lift your spirits up. I believe that this picture perfectly decribes the message that I'm trying to say. There is hope ahead. The lights may seem dreary right now and you may not be able to see what our Heavenly Father has in store for you but I do know that right after a rainstorm always comes a rainbow. Please, at this hard time turn towards your Heavenly Father. Pray to him and ask him for help. He knows exactly what you are going through and will do anything to comfort you in this time of need. If you are like me and don't know how to help Paris but want to, please pray for them. That is really what they need to most right now. My heart goes out to Paris right now. I hope that the future for all of you is bright and beautiful. Turn towards God and trust him. He knows how to help you better than anyone. I love you and I hope that throughout this upcoming week you'll be able to try and be nicer to the people around you. Everybody is going through something hard and needs a little bit of love every now and then. Until some other time! I love you! :) <3 Julienne |
